Big Kids Improv Camp
What?
Big Kids Improv Camp is a 3-day, 3-night transformative retreat for adults (19+) who like to integrate play with personal growth.
Over the course of the retreat, you'll dive deep into improv workshops led by some of Vancouver's most experienced improv performers and instructors—sandwiched between guided meditations, breathwork, mindfulness, and somatic practices that ground you in your body and the present moment.
But here's what makes this retreat truly special: the people.
When you gather with a small group of like-minded souls in the mountains, committed to play and growth, something profound happens. You'll form deep, authentic connections that extend far beyond the weekend.
These aren't surface-level friendships—they're the kind of bonds that last. The kind where you text each other months later, remembering an inside joke from the barn or a breakthrough moment during breathwork. The kind where you get each other because you've shown up vulnerably together.
Expect to:
Play hard – workshops designed to unlock spontaneity, creativity & joy
Breathe deep – guided practices to ground and centre you
Connect authentically – build meaningful, long-lasting friendships
Laugh freely – because fun is number one!
Be present – mindfulness woven throughout every moment
Grow boldly – shed what no longer serves you and step into who you're becoming
Belong – find your people in a community that truly sees you
Bonus: Farm animals galore!
This summer camp is for adults who are ready to say YES AND to play, growth, and unforgettable experiences.
When?
Thursday, June 25th – Sunday, June 28th, 2026
Check-in: Thursday, 4:00 PM
First Circle Gathering: Thursday, 5:00 PM
Closing Circle & Departure: Sunday, 12:00 PM
It's summertime—the sun is hot and the light stretches late into the evening.
Being June in Squamish, we might see some rain (it's the mountains, after all! ), but we're adaptable people, and a little rain won't alter our experience—if anything, it adds to the magic.
We have a beautiful barn and large marquee where we'll gather and hold workshops, both planned and rain-dependent, so you'll be comfortable no matter what the weather brings. Rain or shine, we're here to play, grow, and connect.
The mountains don't wait for perfect conditions—and neither do we.
Where?
Glacier Valley Farm, Upper Squamish Valley, BC
Nestled in the heart of the Upper Squamish Valley, Glacier Valley Farm is surrounded by towering mountains, lush nature, and the kind of clean mountain air that makes you breathe a little deeper.
The moment you arrive, you can't help but feel grounded and held by the environment. This isn't just a location—it's a container for transformation.
Expect to see goats, chickens, pigs, turkey, ducks, lama, sheep, dogs, bison, bunnies, horses and emu throughout your stay. There's something deeply grounding about connecting with animals—they remind us to be present, playful, and perfectly imperfect.
This is where play meets peace. Where growth meets grounding. Where YOU meet the mountains.
Accommodation Options:
We're offering 3 types of accommodation to suit your comfort level and budget:
Carriage-Style Farmhouse Suites – cozy, charming, and full of character

Each option invites you to slow down, unplug, and create a more aligned experience with yourself and the land.

It is expected that you understand the YES AND concept, but beyond that, you’re here to learn, grow and above all play!!
-
This camp is open to 28 people so in order to keep the workshops intimate the group will be split into 2. But not to worry, groupings will change between Friday and Saturday so you can get to know everyone.

Ready to fall in love with long form? This fun, fast-moving three-hour workshop is all about the Armando—a long form improv format that blends grounded storytelling, inspired monologues, and joyful ensemble play.
We’ll break down the structure of the Armando and then get on our feet, using monologues as a springboard for rich scenes, strong characters, and surprising thematic connections. You’ll practice listening deeply, trusting your instincts, and building scenes that feel honest, playful, and emotionally connected—without getting stuck in your head.
Expect a supportive, low-pressure room with lots of reps, side coaching, and laughs. Whether you’re new to the Armando or looking to strengthen your long-form muscles, this workshop will help you sharpen your scene work, expand your range, and have a really good time doing it.
Come ready to listen, to learn, and to play.

At Step Out! we believe Improv isn’t as fun if our nervous systems are activated. Nervous system regulation is not spiritual it’s essential. You can choose not to participate in these sessions, but trust me you won’t regret it when you do.
-
This is a camp at a farm with animals running free and contained, so if this is not your vibe, then maybe this camp isn’t for you.
-
Yes, but not from the shared facility. If you are camping in a tent/car or hold a day pass, drinking water can be accessed from those staying in the carriage house suites or yurts. Go team!
-
The carriage house suites and yurts have electricity. For campers or day pass holders, there is electricity in the barn and toilet/shower facility. There is WIFI but no cell service. We do recommend that you take this opportunity to unplug and truly connect with the environment, yourself and others.

There are stairs to the barn, so if stairs are a barrier please reach out.
